(Process) iOS apps

How we ship.

Every app goes through the same seven steps, ours and our clients'. Each one is a gate: the next step doesn't start until this one is done. It is the process we use for our own apps, and it is what you get when we build yours.

  1. 01

    Check the idea

Before any code: the top apps in the category, what their 1–2★ reviews complain about, and whether people already pay for a fix.

You getA go / no-go with the reasons written down

  2. 02

    Find the one screen

The single screen that shows what the app does in three seconds. It becomes the first screenshot, the demo video and the ad.

You getA spec for the core screen

  3. 03

    Build one feature well

Native Swift and SwiftUI, one core feature, and a TestFlight build on your phone every week.

You getWeekly builds you can use

  4. 04

    Paywall and pricing

StoreKit subscriptions with the price and terms Apple wants shown, restore purchases, and a retention offer only where Apple allows it.

You getA paywall that passes review

  5. 05

    The App Store listing

Keywords, title and subtitle, and screenshots that show the real app, which is what guideline 2.3.3 asks for.

You getA listing ready to submit

  6. 06

    Pre-submission check

Every build is checked against the usual rejection reasons before Apple sees it: privacy manifest, permission texts, subscription disclosures, account deletion, sign-in rules, leaked keys and crashes.

You getA READY / NOT READY report

  7. 07

    Launch and measure

Analytics checked end to end before release, then the numbers read every week: who opens the paywall, who starts a trial, who stays.

You getA live app and a weekly read-out

(01)Pre-submission check

What we check before Apple does.

Step six, in detail. Most rejections come from a short list of reasons, so every build is checked against all of them first.

  • 2.3.3Screenshots show the real app, not only marketing art
  • 2.3Name, description and keywords match what the app does
  • 3.1.2Subscription price, length and terms shown before purchase
  • 3.1.1Digital goods sold through in-app purchase, with restore
  • 4.8Sign in with Apple offered next to other social logins
  • 5.1.1Privacy policy, privacy manifest and in-app account deletion
  • 5.1.1A clear reason in every permission prompt
  • 2.1No crashes, placeholder content or dead buttons
  • —Support and privacy links in App Store Connect actually load
  • —No API keys or secrets shipped inside the app
  • —Analytics events fire once each, so the launch numbers are real

Numbers are App Review guideline sections. What each one means and how to fix it

(02)Offers

Two ways to start.

Both are fixed price, agreed before we begin. The audit is the quick way to find out where an app stands.

(A)48 hours

App Launch Audit

Your app, built or nearly built, put through our pre-submission check and launch review. You get a READY / NOT READY report with the exact fix for every problem.

  • App Review risks: privacy, permissions, subscriptions, sign-in, account deletion
  • Paywall and pricing against Apple’s rules
  • App Store listing: keywords, screenshots, first impression
  • Leaked keys, crash risks and missing analytics
(B)Fixed scope

Idea to App Store

We take your idea through our whole launch process and ship it: a native iOS app with its paywall, listing and analytics, live on the App Store.

  • Idea check before we write code
  • Native Swift / SwiftUI app, weekly TestFlight builds
  • Subscriptions, App Store listing and analytics
  • Submission and launch

Approved, or we fix it free.If App Review rejects the app we built, we fix and resubmit at no extra cost until it’s live.

(03)Order the audit

Send us the app.

No call needed. Tell us where the app is and we reply with the fixed price and a start date, usually the same day.

  1. 01You send the appAn App Store link, or a TestFlight invite or code access if it isn’t live yet.
  2. 02We confirm price and dateA fixed price in writing. Nothing starts until you agree.
  3. 03Report in 48 hoursREADY / NOT READY, every problem with its exact fix, ranked by what blocks approval first.
How can we look at it?
(04)Questions

Before you book.

What does “approved, or we fix it free” cover?
The app we built for you. If App Review rejects it, we fix what they flag and resubmit, at no extra cost, until it is approved. It does not cover features added after the scope is agreed, or an idea Apple will not accept in any form. Step one exists to catch that before any code is written.
What do you need for an audit?
A TestFlight invite or read access to the code, plus the App Store listing if the app is already live. With the code we can check more, such as keys and purchase handling.
How much does it cost?
Both offers are fixed price. We quote after a short call, once we know the app, and you have the number in writing before anything starts.
Where are your clients?
Anywhere. We work remotely, write everything down, and calls book on Cal.com in your own time zone.
Is this only for iOS?
This process is for iOS apps. We build SaaS platforms and IoT systems too, on the usual project process. See how those run.
